RK University medicinal garden housed 300 different species of total 600 medicinal plants which includes, some of very rare, & important medicinal plants. With the objective of spreading awareness and importance of medicinal plant, Center for medicinal plants conservation and research center- CMPCR, RK University, Medicinal plants club, and School of pharmacy, have organised an visit to medicinal garden for students of Kamdar Homoeopathic medical college and research center on 4th July, 2023. Total of 84 students and 1 faculty have visited the garden. The entire event was scheduled in two parts, in the first part students were informed about the medicinal garden, RK University and Medicinal plants club, and they were given a puzzle for medicinal plants present in the garden. In the second part students visited the garden with Dr. Vaibhavi Savalia where she explained to them the importance of the garden, botanical features to identify plants, medicinal importance of the plants, scientific name, phytochemical and side effects of plants. After the visit to the garden students have shared their experience about the visit. Dr. Anand Kushwaha then presented momentos to Dr. Pravin Tirgar, Director, School of Pharmacy and Dr. Vaibhavi Savalia, Professor and advisor, Medicinal plants club. Entire event was organized by the united efforts of Dr. Pravin Tirgar, Director, School of Pharmacy and Dr. Vaibhavi Savalia, Professor and advisor, Medicinal plants club, Dr. Anand pal singh kushwah, HOD, Dept. of Homoeopathic pharmacy college, and volunteers from Medicinal plants clubs.
