Lecture series conducted by faculty

Dr. Pankaj Kapupara, Associate Professor, School of Pharmacy, RK University, conducted a 4-part lecture series on “Principles of Drug Discovery” for B. Pharm. and M. Pharm. students in March-April 2018.
School of Pharmacy, RK University, also hosted the students of B. K. Modi Government Pharmacy College, Rajkot, in this lecture series.
Topics included Lead Identification and lead optimization, QSAR (including hands on training), Molecular modeling and CADD, as well as CoMFA and CoMSIA. The students understood the theoretical and practical concepts of drug discovery.
At the end of the series, students prepared a road map of drug discovery for various diseases.
Dr. Kapupara is having 10 years of teaching experience at School of Pharmacy, RK University, and is currently a Ph. D. guide as well.
