5th REFRESHER COURSE ORGANIZED FOR REGISTERED PHARMACISTS

School of Pharmacy, RK University, organized a 2-day refresher course for registered Pharmacists on 29th and 30th June, 2019, sponsored by Gujarat State Pharmacy Council.
The course received a tremendous response and had participants from various fields of Pharmacy like medical stores, hospitals, primary health centres and industries, from the age group of 20 to 83.Â
The inauguration was graced by, Dr. Devang Pandya, Course Director and Dy. Director, School of Pharmacy, Dr. Ketan Shah, Course Coordinator and Professor, School of Pharmacy and Dr. Ravi Manek, Assistant Professor, B. K. Mody Govt. Pharmacy College, Rajkot.Â
Four lectures were delivered by the faculties of School of Pharmacy, RK University, themselves: Prof. Dr. Devang Pandya, Course Director, delivered a lecture on present status of Pharmacy Profession in India and Advanced Countries. Prof. Dr. Ketan Shah, Course Co-ordinator, delivered a lecture on one of the crucial aspects affecting Community Pharmacy: Storage of drugs. Prof. Dr. Pravin Tirgar, Professor, School of Pharmacy delivered a lecture on Adverse Drug Reactions. Dr. Pankaj Kapupara, Professor, School of Pharmacy, gave a detailed account regarding Import and Export of Drugs.Â
Ms. Dipali Savaliya, Executive Officer, GSPC delivered a lecture on Chronopharmacology. Dr. Pooja Khirsariya, Physician, Naksh Kiran Hospital, Rajkot gave details about Therapeutic updates on medical diseases. Dr. Ravi Manek, Assistant Professor, B. K. Mody Govt Pharmacy College, Rajkot talked about Drug Interaction. The lectures were followed by an objective test. The valedictory was graced by Executive Council Member of Gujarat State Pharmacy Council Shri Maheshbhai Vekariya.Â
Executive Vice-President of RK University and Chief Patron of the Course Mr. Denishbhai Patel, Dr. T. R. Desai, Provost, RK University and Hon. Registrar of RKU Shri Shivlalbhai Ramani congratulated the team of School of Pharmacy for receiving excellent feedback for this course.
