With the Objectives to spread the awareness among society about Common causes of medication error, side effects, reporting of ADR etc. as well as to spread awareness about Patient safety and to establish professional values among community and other professionals, School of Pharmacy, RK University in association with many other Pharma Institutes and Pharmacy Associations of Rajkot organized a Patient Safety Awareness Drive & General Health Check up camp on most Prestigious day Pharmacy Profession - The World Pharmacists Day i.e. 25th September, 2022.

The event was started at 06:00 AM on 25th September, 2022 at Kishanpara Circle, Rajkot in association with all other Pharmacy Institute of Saurashtra Region and Rajkot Pharmacists Association. This was just the fourth time in Rajkot when all the institutes came ahead to establish professional values among society. Major activities performed by students were BMI Measurement, Blood pressure measurement, Blood O2 level detection, visual acuity, color blindness etc. More than 100 patients took advantage of this general health checkup.

The Health Awareness drive was immediately followed by Health Awareness Rally in which various institutes run their vehicle in a fixed route in Rajkot with uniformly designed Play cards. Overall it was a drive intended to spread awareness about the Pharmacy profession among society.

The drive was guided by Prof. Dr. Devang Pandya, Dy. Director, School of Pharmacy, RK University and co-ordinated by Mr. Tejas Ganatra, Faculty Advisor of PharmaHealthClub & Associate Professor, School of Pharmacy, RK University and very well supported by Mr. Priyank Sakhiya, Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy, RK University & Mr. Pratik Vediya, Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy, RK University.
