A week celebration of ‘National Pharmacovigilance Week’2023 on theme “Boosting Public Confidence in Pharmacovigilance

In association with Department of Pharmacology, Adverse Drug Monitoring Centre, PDU Medical College, Civil Hospital, Rajkot, Pharma Health Club, School of Pharmacy, RK University organized A week celebration of ‘National Pharmacovigilance Week’ on theme “Boosting Public Confidence in Pharmacovigilance” between 17th -23rd September, 2023 suggested by The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The event was started on 18th of September and it was graced by Chief guest Dr. Anil P Singh, HOD of Department of Pharmacology, PDU Medical College, Civil Hospital Rajkot, and Associate Professors, Assistant professors, Sr. Residents and Students of the Pharmacology Department.
Two important sessions were conducted on 18th of September.
Expert lecture 1: Introduction of Pharmacovigilance and role of Pharmacy students in strengthening of PvPI Which is taken by Dr. Sneha Agravat M.D Pharmacology, PDU Medical College and
Expert lecture 2: How to fill ADR Report Form which is taken by Dr. Madhavi M.D. Pharmacology, PDU Medical College, Civil Hospital Rajkot. We have also conducted Basic Life Support training in association with B.T Savani Kidney Hospital. Students have learned how to give CPR and how to save a life. Dr. Vishal Bhatt (C.O.O), Dr. Beena Ajudia, Mr. Dipesh Vishwakarma and Ms. Vanita Odedra have trained the students.
Students were Engaged, Explored and Evaluated in this A week celebration of Pharmacovigilance and grabbed the opportunity of learning on topics Patients safety in hospital, Current scenario of PV in India and ADR reporting system in India and abroad.
Students enthusiastically participated in various events like, Rangoli competition, CrossWord, Jumble words competition, Artistry Competition, Poster and Video making competition.
