An Industrial Visit of Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company, Vadodara was organized by School of Pharmacy, RK University for the students of 3rd Semester of M. Pharm, 2nd Semester of M. Pharm, 5th Year of Pharm D as well as 4th Year of Pharm D. Total 44 participants took advantage of this trip. The trip was organized from 13th and 14th February 2024. During this visit, students were afforded the opportunity to tour every department within the Sun Pharma R&D Centre situated at the Tandalja plant. Following the tour, they received insightful presentations from esteemed executive technical members representing each department. This immersive experience enabled students to gain firsthand knowledge of the cutting-edge laboratory facilities available within Sun Pharma's Research and Development department, along with an understanding of the innovative initiatives undertaken at the plant. Furthermore, Sun Pharma representatives elaborated on the company's rich history, current standing, and future vision, providing students with a comprehensive overview of one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the Asian region. Overall, this visit proved invaluable in enriching the students' understanding of industry practices and fostering an appreciation for Sun Pharma's contributions to the field. The trip was coordinated by Mr. Vishvesh Kanabar and supported by Dr. Dharmik Mehta, Ms, Krupali Makwana and Ms. Anjali Patadiya under the support and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Pravin Tirgar (Director, School of Pharmacy, RK University).
