Kidney is one of the most important organs of the body, and current food consumption habits as well as drinking water status makes people vulnerable to kidney disorders, which are on the rise.

Considering a wide range of healthcare responsibilities a Pharmacist is entrusted with, students of School of Pharmacy, RK University, distributed kidney health awareness newsletters related to its disorders, as well as its prevention and cure, across various public places, gardens & hospitals in Rajkot city as a part of World Kidney Day on 8th March, 2018.

As the day coincided with Women’s Day, the theme for World Kidney Day 2018 was “Kidneys & Women’s Health: Include, Value, Empower”.

The awareness drive generated a lot of interest and received a wonderful response from the public.

Through all these activities since many years, School of Pharmacy, RK University, has been a pioneer in highlighting the importance of Pharmacy profession to the public.
